Standard on all models, all-speed traction control monitors each wheel and applies the brake pressure or engine torque reduction required to control wheel slip every one-tenth second, improving poor-weather acceleration and starts on slippery roads.

Four-wheel disc anti-lock brakes are equipped with electronic sensors that prevent wheel lockup, offering improved steering control under extreme braking and/or slippery conditions.

The ParkSense^{^®}Rear Park Assist System^* uses sound waves to detect nearby obstacles in and near the rear path of the vehicle to help you manoeuvre in tight spaces at parking speeds.
Audio-visual indicators in the overhead display in the rear of the vehicle alert you to the proximity of most larger, stationary objects that might be outside your line of sight. Automatic halogen headlamps and integrated fog lamps add to the vehicle's styling and provide excellent forward lighting, while the automatic feature adds to convenience. 300 Touring and 300 Limited; High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps on Chrysler 300C.

Xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps provide crisp, bright lighting for night driving.
Also features a delay feature which provides illumination while occupants are exiting the vehicle. Standard on 300C and SRT8.

Uses photometric sensors to detect ambient lighting conditions, including the presence of oncoming headlamps or tail lamps, and automatically switches between high-beam and low-beam settings as needed. Standard on 300C and SRT8.

Standard on all models are front advanced multistage air bags^* which inflate with a force appropriate to the severity of the impact and side-curtain air bags^* to help provide protection for front and rear outboard occupants in the event of a side impact or rollover.
Always use seat belts. Children 12 and under should always be in a back seat correctly using an infant or child restraint system, or the seat belt properly positioned, dependent on the child's age and weight.

User-ready child seat lower anchors in all rear seating positions help ensure safe and proper installation of LATCH-compatible aftermarket child seats.

Dual-phase steel front rails provide improved impact stability. Dual side apertures allow dimensional control of the body, resulting in a cleaner, uniform exterior appearance, and also form a safety cage.
First Chrysler aluminum hood and trunklid to reduce the overall vehicle weight. Headlamp mounting crossmember directs front impact energy around the passenger compartment and provides stiffness for a quieter interior.

Standard on all models, Electronic Stability Program (ESP™)^* constantly compares the driver's intended course with the vehicle's actual course and detects differences, applying the brakes to individual wheels and controlling engine power to help keep the vehicle on its intended path.
ESP provides oversteer and understeer control to maintain vehicle behaviour on all surfaces, providing an added measure of vehicle control and safety in all seasonal driving conditions. No system, no matter how sophisticated, can repeal the laws of physics or overcome careless driving actions. Performance is limited by available traction, which snow, ice and other conditions can affect. When the ESP warning lamp in the instrument cluster flashes, the driver needs to use less throttle and adapt speed and driving behaviour to prevailing road conditions. Always drive carefully, consistent with conditions. Please always wear your seat belt.

Available self-sealing tires provide added convenience by sealing most punctures up to 5 mm (0.19 in.) to allow the vehicle to continue driving without a loss of tire pressure.
Prevents up to 80 percent of the flat tires caused by slow leaks. Standard on 300C.

The Tire Pressure Monitoring system includes pressure sensor modules that are integrated with the valve stems of all four road wheels. Each module sends continuous radio frequency signals to a receiver and informs the driver when the pressure is too low.
A warning system with warning lamp offers added peace of mind, as well as better fuel economy, improved handling and a more comfortable ride due to properly inflated tires. Uses an amber warning indicator (ISO symbol) in the instrument cluster, and displays individual tire pressures on 300C.
