SAFETY
ANTI-LOCK BRAKES

- Electronic Brake-Force Distribution automatically modulates brake fluid pressure, improving vehicle control during hard braking situations and providing positive, consistent pedal feel and increased fade resistance.
CHILD SEAT ANCHOR SYSTEM
- PT Cruiser features lower child seat anchors and upper tether anchors help ease the installation of compatible aftermarket child seats.
KNEE BLOCKER
- An air bag for the driver's knees that deploys whenever the driver's air bag deploys, offering upper leg protection as well as helping to position the driver relative to the air bag.
MULTISTAGE AIR BAGS
- Air bags inflate with a force appropriate to the severity of the impact.
- Always use seat belts. Children 12 and under should always be in a back seat correctly using an infant or child restraint system, or the seat belt properly positioned, dependent on the child's age and weight.
SIDE AIR BAGS
- Standard front seat-mounted air bags provide additional protection for the driver and front passenger in the event of a collision.

KEYLESS ENTRY
- The remote keyless entry system controls the power door locks and remote trunklid release from up to 20 feet away, providing touch-of-a-button convenience.
- Panic feature sounds the horn, turns on interior lamps and flashes headlamps when activated, providing a sense of security.
SECURITY FEATURES
- Speed-sensitive power door locks lock all doors automatically when vehicle speed reaches above 25 km/h (15 miles per hour). Feature can be deprogrammed by owner if that suits their preference.
- The standard Sentry Key® Engine Immobilizer utilizes an electronically coded engine key that incorporates an embedded transponder with a preprogrammed security key code. When the key is inserted into the ignition, the controller sends a random number to the transponder and the engine is allowed to start.
